First engineering hire at Peanut Protocol. Built the app around crypto payment links from zero, back when Peanut was links and not a neobank.
Peanut Protocol lets you send crypto to anyone as a link — the recipient claims it however they want. I joined as the first engineering hire, alongside cofounders Hugo and Konrad, when the product was basically an idea and a domain.
I built the app around payment links from scratch: React and TypeScript with Tailwind, and a lot of wagmi, viem and ethers glue to make wallets behave for normal humans.
The team has since moved on to a neobank credit-card product. Very proud of Hugo and Konrad for their commitment to keep building Peanut after I left <3. The links era (2023–2024) is where I learned what shipping from zero actually feels like.
